Jet pumps and Fluidizers
aranzu provides a range of Jet Pumps and Fluidizers for conveying slurry and aggregate streams. Most mineral and mining processes make use of centrifugal slurry pumps to convey aggregates and/or slurry in a pipeline. These units tend to require high levels of maintenance when conveying coarse aggregate material at the required elevated velocities. Jet pumps are pumps with no moving parts and therefore have greatly reduced maintenance requirements. Fluidizers are used to extract saturated solid or thickened material from a storage device such as a wet bin or thickener.
aranzu manufacture their Jet pumps from specially selected cast materials to ensure a jet pump that can stand up to any process environment.
The Fluidizer operates in a similar manner to a Jet Pump. A high-pressure liquid stream is used to induced a flow rate of solids through the Fluidizer unit.
Jet pumps are well suited in applications where stabilisation of flow in pipelines are required, which translates into increased reliability and productivity. The jet pump is self-regulating by increasing or decreasing the rate of solids induction to stabilise the flow rate.
Jet pumps are able to shut down at any time and restarted as required, without priming, unlike most slurry centrifugal pumping systems. Jet pumps are well suited to extract solids from bins and/or hoppers. They have the added advantage that the pump can be shut down and then restarted without the need for additional agitation of the settled solids bed in the bin.
The Fluidizers are well suited to controlled extraction of solids from a storage tank or hopper. The Fluidizer negates the requirements for agitators, as the Fluidizer is able to start up under full load conditions without priming or flushing.
Jet pumps are available in DN40, DN80, DN100, DN150, DN200, DN300. Custom sizes also available.
