Containerized Compact Gland Service Water (GSW) Supply Skid
The containerised gland service water supply skid is a compact, plug-and-play water distribution unit designed for gland seal service on centrifugal pumps within mining operations. It ensures a reliable and regulated water supply to the gland seals, preventing seal overheating and maintaining efficient pump performance.
Its modular and compact construction enables rapid installation in confined plant areas, minimizing footprint requirements while maintaining robust operational reliability. The system integrates flow regulation, pressure control, and monitoring instruments for consistent gland water delivery.
The skid is engineered as a self-contained, pre-assembled unit comprising:
- A galvanized 1800 L tank with carbon steel frame and pipe supports.
- Multiple GSW ports configured for either 4, 6, or 8 pumps — depending on plant requirements.
- Each port includes flow control and isolation valves, strain relief filters, and Maric flow controllers for precise gland water management.
- Flow switches are installed on every offtake to enable remote monitoring via SCADA, ensuring interlock with the slurry pump operation to prevent seal overheating.
- A pre-wired termination box allows integration with the plant’s control system, while electrical and instrumentation (EC&I) integration remains client-configurable.
- Designed with minimal maintenance in mind, using good quality multistage pumps with optional redundancy for duty/standby operation.
The GSW skid is intended for:
- Mining and mineral processing operations utilising centrifugal slurry pumps.
- Gland sealing systems requiring constant, clean, pressurised water supply to prevent abrasive ingress.
- Remote or containerised pump stations where quick deployment and compact footprint are essential.
- It is ideal for integration in multi-pump stations where operational uptime and reliability are critical.
- 4-Port Compact Skid: For small installations or localized pump clusters.
- 6-Port Skid: Standardized configuration for mid-sized systems (functionally identical to 4-port with capped outlets).
- 8-Port Skid: High-capacity version for large pump networks, may be paired in multiples for extended systems.
